Yup, it's THAT time of year again. Time to trot out Bill O'Reilly, Fox Noise and every other right wingnut there is.......you see, there's a war comin' and Bryan "Lyin' Fissure" Fischer is already mustering the troops.
Every year we are treated to a laughable display of hand wringing, wailing and, of course, mandatory 'Blame the Left' caterwauling. The perennial 'War on Christmas' has begun. First salvo courtesy of our friend Bryan. Thing is, every year they all claim Christmas is being: BANNED.......and yet, every year, lights go up, trees are decorated, manger's are displayed, songs are sung, retails sales continue, shopping becomes a contact sport, Santa's still collect for Charity and Churches are full on Christmas morning. If this is war, one can only imagine the peace. And that's the problem.....there is no war. Oh sure, some places say "Happy Holidays" or "Season's Greetings", so what! Anyone who actually believes that Christmas, with 'Christ' still intact, is in any danger of vanishing from the North American landscape, should be committed for being delusional. Speaking of delusional, Bryan has now decided it's not Christmas but Christ to whom war is being waged. Once again, the facts collide head-on with the fiction from the far-right. One can almost hear the quiet desperation of trying to remain relevant and, for Fischer, it's a necessary tool to succeed at his real task.....making money off the poor souls who blithely and blindly give without questioning the veracity of his claims. For the TTM, this tweet is representative of the most vile form of cynicism.........
