It's beginning to look a lot like ignorance......

Indeed it is. Once again, that paragon of knowledge, that teller of truth, that.......oh please, who are we kidding?  Well, we may not be kidding but Bryan "Lyin' Fissure" Fischer certainly is. You know, it's bad enough that Fischer lies about almost everything but, must he also lie about the most sacred of dates in Christianity as well......but of course he does!  To wit, witness this gem of a tweet form Fischer regarding the Constitution of the United States and it's inclusion of Christmas.  No, you read that right. You see, Fischer is of the view that, hold on to your hats, because the U.S. Constitution has the, obligatory in its time, date stated as "Anno Domini" (Year of our Lord) and that Christmas supposedly is the beginning of the modern calendar; Christmas is adjoined to the Constitution by implication and thus, the United States is indeed a Christians only nation.  Yeah.....we shook our heads a bit as well.  But seriously, he really believes this nonsense.  Bad enough that most of the founding fathers were, at best, deists but to conflate their usage of a common, obligatory dating method as proof of Christian Dominion?.......that there is what you call, 'grasping at straws.'  It's also completely wrong, both historically and religiously. You see, if one is to be honest about history, the calendar as it is known today was actually calculated based on the interpretive date of Christ's birth and, because of the Ecumenical Council of Nicaea, the date was arbitrarily taken from the pagan rite of Saturnalia.  So, in effect, what Fischer is actually saying is that the U.S. is a Pagan Nation because it uses a dating method based on the arbitrary dating of a Roman rite of equinox.   Way to go Christians!
