It's Dream Day in the U.S......

Today is an historic day in the U.S., today marks the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s inspiring "I have a dream" speech in Washington D.C.  It was a remarkable day, the sun shone and hundreds of thousands of people came out to hear one of the greatest civil rights leaders speak about fairness, equality, dignity, respect and ideals that person should be judged by their character.  Such was a time of hope, joy and a feeling that things would finally change for the better.

Fast forward to today.  The world is in turmoil, war in Syria is a possibility anytime now, Russia and many Africans nations are openly violent against their LGBT citizens and the U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled that the "Voting Act" (a key to racial equality) was no longer needed.  So much for the dream that was dreamed.

Sadly, as with all things of import, small minds will find a way to co-opt those ideals as the twitterverse revealed today.

First up is the "Donald", a man who's ego is so incredibly gaseous and large that even on an auspicious day as this, it had to be 'all about me'.

You will never be as great as MLK
